Have you ever had one of those moments when everything around you is coming crashing down and you feel the weight of a semi truck (a nod to my husband) sitting on your shoulders? Have peace, beautiful mama; God is in control.
The first part of 2 Corinthians 12:9 reads:
‘But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”‘
There are times in my life, more often than I’d like to admit, when I feel helpless. Almost like I’m the one that’s just been frozen in a game of freeze tag and there is no one in sight to bring me back into the game. BUT GOD IS WITH US, MAMAS. He hears our every cry. He sees us in our weaknesses. He hears our prayers each and every time we call out to Him. He gives us grace. Find peace in your heart, mama. He gives us grace in the chaos. He pulls us back.
The second part of 2 Corinthians 12:9 reads: ‘Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.’
I’ve started telling the truth when someone asks how I am. Up until recently, I’d usually just say, “I’m doing well,” or “I’m fine.” But that doesn’t bring God glory. I’m going to tell them that I feel overwhelmed. I feel lost is the mountain of Motherhood. I feel like I don’t know who I am anymore. I’m going to tell them that I need God’s grace and never ending love on this journey. Through my weaknesses, God’s power is made perfect, so I will answer honestly and spread the Word of God.
Find peace, beautiful Mama, and know that you are loved. When you are weak, then after, you are strong. (Reference 2 Corinthians 12:10)
Let us pray together,
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this opportunity to grow in faith. We submit to you, Father. Use us for your glory. God, we ask that you would give us strength during the journey of Motherhood, peace in the chaos, and that we would feel your love surrounding us always. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
